Raw Goat Milk Soap

Our soap is handcrafted here at Say Grace Farms in small batches in Royse City Texas. We use honey and beeswax solely from Snohomish Bee Company, located in my old hometown of Snohomish in Washington, to sell in their local store and online. In Texas, we raise happy, spoiled Nigerian Dwarf goats so they produce quality milk. We then hand milk each goat and mix it with other high-quality ingredients to create a silky bar of soap that leaves you clean, smelling fresh and does not dry out your skin.

We feel it is important to use quality ingredients that are easy to pronounce and have benefits to our health, since we are directly applying it the body's largest organ. Read on to find out more about the ingredients and why we use them in our bars of soap.

Raw Goat Milk

Raw goat milk supports a healthy skin microbiome and contains probiotics like lactobacillus, which is responsible for producing lactic acid. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects in the body, including the skin

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil can hydrate the skin and help it retain moisture. It may also help reduce inflammation, promote wound healing, and have antibacterial properties.

Pure Olive Oil

Olive oil will moisturize and cleanse regardless of skin type. It contains vitamin E, anti-oxidants, and compounds such as squalene and oleocanthal which may prevent aging and repair skin damage. Olive oil is non-toxic, anti-microbial, and hypoallergenic.

Palm Oil

Palm Oil restores hydration to dry skin, preventing further dryness by sealing in moisture. Suitable for use on sensitive skin, it effectively nourishes areas afflicted by eczema, psoriasis, and stretch marks. The antioxidant properties of palm oil boost immunity and delay the onset of wrinkles.

Sweet Almond Oil

Sweet almond oil contains vitamin E which keeps your skin cells healthy, protects your skin from UV radiation damage, and helps your skin look smooth, soft, and free of fine lines. The fatty acids help your skin retain moisture and can heal chapped and irritated skin. Plus, the vitamin A can help reduce acne.

Castor Oil

Castor oil contains fatty acids that have moisturizing, skin health-enhancing, and antioxidant properties. Castor oil contains proteins that stimulate collagen production by the skin cells, helping to minimize wrinkles. Castor oil also has emollient properties known to help improve your skin's texture and healthy appearance.

Shea Butter

Shea butter contains five essential fatty acids, such as phytosterols, vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E, and allantoin. High concentrations of fatty acids and vitamins make shea butter an ideal cosmetic ingredient for softening skin. Shea butter also has anti-inflammatory and healing properties. Using shea butter on your body can condition, tone, and soothe your skin.

Raw Oats

It moisturizes, protects, exfoliates, and cleanses your skin. Oatmeal also helps boost collagen production, improves your skin complexion, and reduces skin inflammation.

Raw Unheated Honey

Raw honey from Snohomish Bee Company is unheated which means the naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, enzymes, antioxidants are intact and potent. This allows the honey to retain the following: amino acids, vitamin B, calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, and zinc. Honey is also a natural exfoliant and moisturizer.

Beeswax

Our beeswax, from Snohomish Bee Company, has skin-softening properties and enhances skin elasticity, helping reduce the signs of ageing. In addition, it is an anti-allergenic, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-bacterial and germicidal.

Sodium Hydroxide

The main reason sodium hydroxide soap has such huge benefits is that it is natural. Unlike many commercial varieties of soap, lye does not contain any harmful additives, and it retains a high glycerine content, helping to keep the skin soft and moisturized.

Fragrance

We lightly fragrance our bars of soap so they are not overwhelming, but instead have a please scent.

The fragrance oils we use are Premium Grade, also known as Cosmetic Grade, which means they were formulated for, and deemed safe for use in topical applications per FDA and IFRA guidelines and standards.

Basil Essential Oil

Basil essential oil's antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties help heal bacterial and fungal infections and treat scars on the skin. Basil extract purifies skin and unclogs pores, preventing acne, blackheads, and whiteheads. Basil extract is rich in vitamin C, which adds brightness to the skin.

Thyme Essential Oil

Thyme essential oil is known to stimulate, which is beneficial in skincare for circulation and increasing blood flow to skin. This perks up fatigued skin and boosts overall skin health.

Peppermint Essential Oil

Peppermint essential oil is used to soothe inflammation, irritation and itchiness on skin. It promotes wound-healing, and it is also touted as a natural remedy for soothing bug bites, and providing relief to irritated skin.

Lemongrass Essential Oil

Lemongrass essential oil contains antioxidants and has purifying properties which make it perfect for skincare. These properties help to remove impurities, detoxify the skin and leave it feeling clean and clear.
